On April 7th the water to Magdalena Gardens was shutoff for approximately 6 hours to rebuild the water supply line to our homes. In addition, the irrigation pipes were completely rebuilt. Both lines passed inspection and tagged.

On Monday the property was mowed and trimmed. The retention area wasn’t mowed this week since it hadn’t grown much since last mow. All beds were sprayed for weeds as well. We are still on a bi-weekly schedule for maintenance for another week or two.
Met with the Landscape Committee on Wednesday and reviewed the status of the grounds in general, the bushes and trees along the fence line, and discussed some ideas for the areas the owners have asked to be able to plant to the left and right of their front doors as well as the islands. Walked the property as well.
Thursday David walked the property with Bob and the Irrigation company to check all zones, watering times, and coverage. Had 2 controllers fail and were replaced on the spot.
All Palm Trees were also trimmed on Thursday along the fence line. They also pruned the tree along Shreve Street behind the pool Cabana that was leaning and touching the ground. It looks great and is clean around it as well.
Friday Two areas along buildings 11 and 6 were assessed, where owners have noticed the foundation is exposed. Both areas will be sodded in the near future.
Currently there is 1-2 openings for the Landscape Committee if anyone is interested. We are looking to gather together a handful of owners to do a cleanup on the beds; if interested please contact David Bockmann.

Please be mindful of your speed when driving on the condo property.

A final update to the reserve fund study has been made by the engineer. Mailbox replacement has been added and an error that had the condo sealcoating the asphalt in the same year it was being replaced was deleted.
This revised post contains the most recent copy of the reserve study. Clicking here will download the report.

New furniture was purchased for the pool recently. 14 loungers which are nineteen inches high, 14 chairs, a dinning table, umbrella and base. The small side tables were repaired and painted.

The Board plans to purchase more furniture in the near furure to properly furnish inside of the cabana.

An electric BBQ and a hotdog cooker have been donated by residents for use in the pool cabana. Since no cooking devices can be used within 10 feet of a dwelling (NFPA 1.10.10.6), we reached out to the fire marshall’s office to be sure. We suspect she is permitting use in large part because no person resides in this building. Please make sure you clean these devices thouroughly after each use.

Andrew and Jodi Kirby donated a 50 inch TV to the Assocation. It was hung and connected to a make shift attenna by volunteers. Thanks to everyone for their efforts.
